Independence Day : Feed The Poor 4.0

  "True Independence will only be achieved when every citizen can go to sleep hunger-free"

Peace be upon you all. History of the freedom movement of our county is always inspiring. We all have our own memories and attachments to this day. The struggles of our ancestors and our freedom fighters didn't go in vain. We as a country have reached several heights. We have produced several leaders who were examples and role models for the entire mankind. On one side we have our achievements but the other side of the coin is not really fine. From poverty and hunger to crimes and corruptions we have to develop a lot. We can see in recent years the oppression and human-rights violation all over our country, people trying to divide based on caste, race and religion. This really makes us wonder whether if we have really earned our freedom. We have inherited our freedom, we didn't fight for it. All we can do is to show that we are worthy of it.

True Celebration 

Coming on to the project, we ordered and bought food for fifty hungry people. We made sure the food was of good quality, such that we would eat from it. This time we didn't stop at a single place. We moved from Central Bus Stand to Railway Junction till E.Pudur across Trichy. We met different kinds of people.

We carried the food in cardboard boxes placed in front of our scooters. While refilling our scooter's fuel, an old man approached us asking if the food was for sale and that he did not eat for a long time and asked if we could give him some sort of discount. With joy, we gave him a parcel and told him that we were helping hungry people. He was instantly happy and blessed us with few kind words. We get a lot of experience like this, these are some of the best moments.

Protest on Independence Day !

While trying to enter the prelims of the Railway Station, few policemen stopped us and denied entry. And we had to turn back. While turning back, a policeman came running towards us and told that their chief allowed our entry. We then returned back to the railway station and gave food to the hungry people over there.

Then we noticed a protest going on in there. We assume it to be the reason why we were denied entry at the first place. It was against the new farm laws of 2020. Suddenly a question crossed our mind, "are we living in a truly independent county ?, If yes, why are the protest still going on?". These thoughts made us stunned for few minutes. Earlier CAA -NRC protest was ignored completely, following which now the new farm law protest is being ignored. All we could think of is creating awareness and and spreading goodness.

Yes, finally we distributed 50 food packages and returned to our homes with a mixed feeling of joy about our project and a little distress about the new anti-democratic laws being passed in one of the largest democratic country.
