Visit to Darul Mahabba Home

 " Whoever saves a life, it is as though they saved all of humanity"

Peace be upon you all. Sometimes all we need is a small break to think about our past, to plan for our future and to build ourselves in the present. Yes we the members of Universal Help Club took a short break, we got busy. After this inactive period of time, we realised that we should comeback due to the never ending need for us in this society. After few discussions, we fixed our destination towards the west, a beautiful village incubated by the nature, called Alathudaiyanpatti. Its a village located towards the west of Thuraiyur. When the destination is set, what is left is the beginning of the journey.

The Journey

Starting from Perambalur our destination was 61 km away. We started our journey on 3rd Spetember, 2022 at 10 in the morning from Perambalur new bus stand. The climate was cloudy and pleasant. After about an hour journey, we reached Thuraiyur bus stand. We had to wait for about half an hour before we boarded on a bus to Alathudaiyanpatti. Then the journey became interesting we passed through many streams and brooks. Fresh air and the fragrance of the nature was very refreshing. Finally after about 20 minutes of travelling we reached our destination.

Darul Mahabba Home

We know a lot of old age homes, orphanages, homes for physically challenged or mentally challenged people and many such categories. But love for humanity cannot be limited to a certain kind of needy people, and an live example for that is Darul Mahabba home, translated as "Adobe of Love". As love is universal, not specific to one kind of needy people, in Darul Mahabba Home, you can see all kind of these needy people as mentioned above. It was that aspect of this place, that made us feel that our efforts to visit this place was really worthy. Its an humble home founded to serve the society and community by taking care of the needy. The place is managed beautifully, it is clean, its inhabitants are given proper care and served proper meals.

An Incident To Remember

As I was walking through the home observing various kind of people, an old woman said to me that she has already seen me somewhere. She was happy to see me again. At this point all I can think of, is how I got entangled in the memory of an old woman spending her last few years in a beautiful place. I thanked the God and moved on.

A Talk With The Founder !

After seeing around the place, I had a talk with the founder of this beautiful place. He is an amazing person by the will of the God. He is so humble and friendly person. His history is very inspiring and motivating. The struggles, success, his fight for his life and now his hard work for preserving the lives of unknown forgotten unattended needy people is an great inspiration for us all.

A Request To All Of You

He also informed us that the place they are running their home now is a rented place. The owner wants them to vacate the place. Now they are planning to buy a land to construct a new home for these needy people. I request all the readers to help towards this noble cause.

The reason for us to keep doing what we do are the donors that kept donating us continuously even when we were inactive. I thank them all heartfully. May the God bless you all with goodness.
