Peace be upon you all. All praise and thanks to the Almighty. Our 24th project, Relief 3.0, marked a significant effort in providing support to those in need during the month of Ramadan. On the 23rd of March 2024, we distributed grocery kits to 30 deserving families in the E Pudur area of Trichy.
Each grocery kit was carefully curated to include essential food items to help alleviate the burden of hunger and ensure sustenance for the recipients. The contents of each kit were as follows:
- 5 kilograms of rice
- 1 kilogram of wheat flour
- 1 kilogram of rava (semolina)
- 1 kilogram of toor dal
- 1 kilogram of urad dal
- 1 kilogram of sugar
- 1 kilogram of salt
- 500 grams of Bengal gram
- 250 grams of dates
- 50 grams of cashew nuts
- 50 grams of turmeric powder
- Ghee
- A packet of vermicelli
- A bottle of Sarbath
These basic essentials were chosen to provide nourishment and sustenance to the families during the month of Ramadan. Our aim was to ensure that they could observe this sacred time with peace of mind, knowing that their basic needs were met.
The distribution of these grocery kits was made possible through the support and generosity of our donors and volunteers. Their contributions have enabled us to make a tangible difference in the lives of those facing hardship, and we are deeply grateful for their continued support.
As we reflect on the success of Relief 3.0, we are reminded of the importance of compassion and solidarity, especially during times of need. May our efforts bring comfort and relief to those who received the grocery kits, and may the blessings of Ramadan illuminate their homes with peace and prosperity.
