As part of this initiative, we helped a needy family set up a tailoring business by providing them with a stitching machine , enabling them to earn a sustainable livelihood. During the visit, a nearby poor family requested monthly groceries, and our volunteer Hussain immediately stepped forward to fulfill their need. This project beautifully reflected both long-term empowerment and short-term relief , combining sustainability with compassion. We visited Dharul Muhabba Orphanage Home in Alathudaiyanpatti and extended our support by donating: ✅ 50 kg of rice ✅ 75 kg of broken idly rice This initiative aimed to ease their food expenses and ensure the children have consistent access to basic meals. Our 31st project, Uplift 6.0 , was carried out on 21st May 2025. In this initiative, we supported a poor family by helping them set up a small dosa batter business. To enable their livelihood, we purchased a commercial grinder that allows them to prepare and sell fresh dosa batter. This project reflects the core idea of Uplift —helping families achieve self-sufficiency by providing them with the tools and resources to earn their own livelihood. May this effort serve as a stepping stone for the family to grow and sustain their future with dignity. As part of this initiative, we visited Children Charitable Trust , where we donated a 26 kg rice bag to support their daily food needs. Beyond the donation, we spent meaningful time engaging in heartfelt conversations with the orphan children, listening to their stories and sharing smiles. It was a reminder that even small acts of kindness can bring warmth and hope to young hearts. Our 28th project, Uplift 5.0 , was successfully completed on 7th February 2025, in collaboration with Adirai Tholargal Helping Hand , a local NGO from Adirampattinam. Through this initiative, we supported a needy family by helping them establish a roadside idly shop. On behalf of Universal Help Club, we provided the startup running cost, while Adirai Tholargal Helping Hand managed the execution. They helped purchase essential items such as utensils, a fridge, and other necessary equipment while also assisting in setting up the business. This project is a testament to the power of collective efforts in transforming lives. As part of our continued commitment to supporting those in need, we provided a small financial contribution to the orphanage and later visited the residents to spend quality time with them. Dharul Muhabba Orphanage has always been close to our hearts, as it serves as a home for orphans, the elderly, and those with special needs. While monetary aid helps in meeting their daily needs, we believe that love, kindness, and human connection are just as valuable. Our visit was a heartwarming experience, reminding us of the importance of showing care and companionship to those who need it most. Our 26th project, Food Drive 3.0, was successfully completed on 12th October 2024. During this initiative, we distributed lunch to 50 hardworking sanitary workers at Perambalur Government Hospital. Sanitary workers play an essential role in maintaining public health and hygiene, often working tirelessly behind the scenes. Through this project, we aimed to recognize their efforts and express our gratitude for their invaluable service to the community. This act of kindness was made possible by the support of our donors and volunteers, to whom we extend our heartfelt thanks. In this project, we extended our support to a needy family in Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu by helping them set up a tailoring business. Our assistance included providing the necessary funds for purchasing raw materials, specifically fabrics, enabling them to create beautiful dresses for sale. On the 23rd of March 2024, we distributed grocery kits to 30 deserving families in the E Pudur area of Trichy. Each grocery kit was carefully curated to include essential food items to help alleviate the burden of hunger and ensure sustenance for the recipients. In our journey of service, we have encountered various forms of need, but Dharul Muhabba Home stands out as a beacon of hope and care for individuals from all walks of life. Founded with the noble intention of serving the community, this humble abode provides refuge and support to the elderly, orphans, and those with physical or mental challenges. Our 19th project, Relief 2.0: Grocery Kit Distribution, was completed successfully on 8th April 2023. As a part of our ongoing efforts to help those in need, we decided to focus on the E Pudur area, the cradle of Universal Help Club (UHC), where it all began. With the support of generous donors, we collected funds and were able to purchase 25 grocery kits. On the evening of 8th April, our project commenced. In order to ensure a smooth distribution process, we had issued tokens in advance to the beneficiary families. We were also excited as many volunteers joined us on that evening to make the project even more special. As an NGO, we are committed to helping those in need, regardless of their location or background. Our focus is on providing humanitarian aid and support to the most vulnerable populations, including refugees, homeless people, and those affected by natural disasters. We, at Universal Help Club, are deeply saddened by the devastating earthquake that hit Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, and Palestine in February 2023. The earthquake caused severe destruction, leaving thousands dead and many injured. As members of the human race, we felt compelled to help our brothers and sisters in need.
